About the chef
Hello, I'm Tiffany and I'm a home cook! Cooking has become a relaxing hobby and I've learned a lot about cooking by watching my grandmother as I was growing up and she would cook the majority of my meals. If you're from an Asian household, learning how to cook is never really passed down by recipes cards or scribbled instructions on a paper. You literally need to watch your elders, ask questions and everything will be transferred to you verbally with no real measurements. I cook what I'm craving so if you see a reoccurring theme of Asian food, then I apologize in advance! I cook usually to satisfy myself and maybe my fiancé.
It does give me great happiness when I can share my food with others and their bellies are full with big smiles on their faces. I tend to cook Vietnamese & Chinese but also love making classic American favorites. Before stepping into the kitchen, I starting researching dishes I plan to cook. Pinterest is my source of inspiration for recipes to follow and most of the time I'll compare recipes then combine ingredients & instructions to make the dish my own.
Thanks for visiting my food blog and I hope you get inspired and cook some of the recipes. If you cook a recipe from my blog then share on instagram and use the hashtag #phantasticchef so I can see how your dish came out!
